Our history

Eric and Christine settled in 1975 on the Domaine de la Rhue, located in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of Causses du Quercy, designated a UNESCO Global Geopark. They worked the land and started a sheep husbandry which allowed them to restore a part of the Domaine that had been abandoned for many years.

In 1990, they decided to take on a promising new venture by renovating the old stables into an elegant, charming guesthouse with spacious rooms, each with its own character.

In 2015, they handed over the reins to Eric’s sisters, Karine and Yannick, wanting

to keep the family spirit of the Domaine alive.

After enjoying careers in different fields, Johannes and Bénédicte joined the Domaine team in 2018
to open the Table de La Rhue.

With Karine and Bernard having retired, Yannick will welcome you in 2020.
